About Sherbourne House

About us

Established in 1995, Sherbourne House has been treating the local community with a range of modalities and specialised techniques including Osteopathy, Myotherapy, Remedial Massage and Dry Needling. Our dedicated practitioners use an integrated approach to address ongoing pain and discomfort from injury and disease triggered by imbalances within the body’s nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems. By focusing on the structural integrity of the body, our goal is to isolate the source of the problem and help patients reach a maximum level of musculoskeletal health and vitality.

Our 5 step approach

1. Assess

We first observe patients from a mechanical, functional and postural standpoint to gain a deeper understanding around the context of their pain. If necessary, we may conduct diagnostic, orthopaedic or neurological tests and exercises.

2. Identify

Whether a patient’s pain is triggered from a sports injury, disease, stress, or other unknown source, we endeavour to pinpoint its root cause and origin (tissue, neurological, psychological).

3. Treat

We provide an individualised treatment plan through an integrated mix of modalities and specialised techniques including Osteopathy, Myotherapy, Remedial Massage and Dry Needling.

4. Maintain

After just a few sessions, the body’s natural ability to self-regulate when faced with illness is strengthened. We also provide advice on how to manage pain outside of clinical appointments.

5. Support

If our practitioner determines that osteopathic treatment is not suitable, they will refer the patient back to their GP for a referral to an osteopathic surgeon, dentist or physiotherapist.
